About Me

Hi there! My name is Nick if you couldn’t already tell and welcome to my website! I’m 23 as of writing. So a bit about myself to put it blunt, ima nerd :P. To go into more detail though, I enjoy many nerd things like computers. I do have quite a modern PC setup. But I’ve always preferred computing during the late 90s to mid 2000s. It was that golden era in tech where chips in device were powerful enough to do great graphical/multimedia tasks while allowing for plenty of creative design choices and user freedom (in most cases privacy as well!). The design of this site is meant to be a tribute to that era. It can be also seen in my art.

I do make art as well from time to time. Mostly still renders in Blender. A lot of them try to get that look of the same era too with the simple textures, and phong (plastic like) shading. Early 3D is a style I’ve always enjoyed with its simplistic yet surreal look. Harder to replicate on modern software that you would think. Started to learn 3D software in high school with 3DSMax (its shit don’t use it). Not only did it help me learn the basics but it allowed to create this look very easily as its default setup was untouched for almost decades. Soon I transitioned to blender as I didn’t want to pay a license for AutoDesk software. Aside from my basic knowledge from the class. I’m self taught with these tools learning through tutorials online. Been at it for over 3 years not and still learning!

As you can also tell I’m a furry! As I have a fursona based of my favorite breed of dog, the shiba inu. Hes the pure definition of fursona They’re also the inspiration for my username. Love the doge meme when I was young so I just combined that and my name and the meme to get NickIsDoge! could never come up with a better one and many people already knew my by it, so its stuck for a long time!
